| Isha performing a rare thing in Taarab dancing |
Yesterday I attended a unique taarab performance by Asha Ramadhan better known as Isha Mashauzi a controvesial Taaarab artiste who has decided to launch her own group Isha Mashauzi Classic. Singing mostly her own compositions including a song composed by her friend which talks about her recently broken marriage, the show was great she is a great singer no doubt. But Aisha has brought more controversy to taarab music, as it is now a lot of staunch, Taarab Asilia(Traditional Taarab) believers, say the so called 'Modern Taarab is not even Taarab at all', Aisha has opened a new door by dancing to the steps of her dancers while performing a new development in Taarab
